Hi Jackie,

Wow that is a tough question. In my situation I just don’t quite stand the guy when I talk to him so my solution is just to avoid him all together during my wedding. How would you cope with the situation?

Well, if you haven’t sent out your invitations yet, you can also put a “RSVP” card insert with instructions to put down any “guests” that will be attending. At least, you would get a head count in advance… My next concern would be: “What if you don’t get along with your best friend’s boyfriend and she insists on bringing him along?” Dah!! One can never win!

I read this somewhere and thought it was a really good idea. The suggestion was to put on the RSVP card:

One/two seats have been reserved in your honour.

That way, it restricts your guests from inviting someone else!
