My Wedding Qi Pao

After about a month my qipao is finally here. It looked better than I thought. The pattern I had chosen not only has dragon and phoenix embroidered on to it, but also have copper coin, fan, pair of fish and some other ones that I don’t recognized. It’s really colour full with the gold, orange, blue and purple thread. I didn’t get a chance to snap a picture with me in the dress but it fits perfectly. Now I just need to find a pair of shoes and figure out what to do with my hair. Any suggestions? I would love to find shoes that I can wear again.

Here’s the store information again in case you missed it last time. I got my qipao at:

Hello, on our website about Chinese dresses and wedding dresses you can find a lot of further information and pictures of Qipao / Cheongsam. Regards, O.F.

Wow! The Qi Pao looks amazing!!

I will also be wearing a Qi Pao during the tea ceremony and I will change into my wedding dress at the ceremony site. I don’t want my fiance to see me in the wedding dress until the ceremony… he he… :p

We will be visiting Hong Kong in October and my mom will bring me to China to get a tailor-made one… she knows this really good tailor… amazing skills… and also you have so many different fabrics to choose from! :)

Really looking forward to it…

Yes I’ve heard that a lot of people get tailor-made qi pao from China. I also read that some people get their bridemaids’ dress made there also since it’s pretty cheap. I’d love to see what yours look like!

wow Jan! So happy to see that your wedding planning is coming together so nice~ :D

Hi Claudia! Yes most of the stuff is done. I’m super ahead of time. Going to spend the next months or so making the invitation cards. I hope you’re doing well. Come visit in winter for some snowboarding fun too!

Its a nice dress. Good in Looking.
