Wedding Album Layout Preview
The first draft of the wedding album layout is finished so Al and I went in to HN Wedding to take a look. Overall, we were pretty happy with it, but since both of us came from design background and are kinda picky about certain elements, we made a few changes to the first draft.
They were able to meet many of our requirements in the first draft. For example, Al and I don’t like using circles or bubbles for our photos because we find that it crops off too much of the background. So they used square frames around the photos instead. We also didn’t like flowers or butterflies motifs because they are “too cute” for the mood of our photos, which is more vintage (at Hycroft) and modern (at Gastown).
We found a couple of pages which need a completely new layout because they were either too busy or too bare. We shoveled a few pictures around to make them look more even as well as having larger photos per page. Vivian also gave us a lot of really good suggestions on how we could improve the layout and what we could add to make the page more interesting (ie. the type of motif or decorations that would help balance ou the photo).
I’ll be going back in a week to view the 2nd layout design as well as get the negatives for the photos. Can’t wait to get my hands on those photos.
