DIY Wedding Projects
Over the past few weeks I’ve been taking time working on our wedding invitations. I’m making 100 of them by hand. With that in mind, I’ve designed it to be simple and cost saving by maximizing the use of each piece of paper. The only down side is that the invite is smaller than those you usually see, it’s about 4.24″ x 5.5″ folded. The card is red with brown and pink decorations. I’m thinking of printing the insert on an ivory coloured paper.
I haven’t had time to take photos of the components I’ve been working on to make the invite. So far I’ve managed to cut out, stamp and glue the decorative piece on the outside.
Did anyone else do any DIY for their wedding? I’m also thinking of making my own centre pieces. Any suggests?

Thanks for the link! Her invitation is really nice. I love the colour. I bought my card stock from two different places:
Paper Poet: http://www.paperpoet.ca/
Making Memories with Scrapbooking: http://www.makingmemorieswithscrapbooking.com
Sign up for the newsletter with Making Memories so you’ll know when they have a sale. That’s when I stocked up on paper. I also heard that you can get cheap paper on boxing day (but I’m not sure if I want to give up clothes shopping for paper yet).

hi, I am getting married next summer. I have been searching wedding info in vancouver, and I came upon your site. ^_^ I love how you leave vendor info in your blog. And you know what’s funny? I went to HN wedding and I saw your preweeding photo there!! haha.
Anyways, I want to make my own invites too. Here is a site I found http://yujai.blogspot.com/
she made her own invitation by hand. pretty interesting.
my biggest problem is: where can you get cheap but quality paper???
