HN Wedding Albums
First off I’d like to apologize for the lack of updates. A lot had happened in the past few months and some interesting changes were made (more details on that later). Now I want to share with you some pictures of my pre-wedding photo albums from HN Wedding.
A couple weeks ago Al and I went to pick up our enlargement, signing scroll and photo albums. Our package included 1 enlargement (I think it’s 30″, couldn’t remember off the top of my head), 1 signing scroll, and 3 albums. The albums are 1 large, 1 medium and 1 small. Only the medium and large albums have the layouts since the small one is too small to do much design to it.

The package came with it’s own carrying case and individual boxes for the albums.

The enlargement (I haven’t taken the wrapping off yet, sorry)

Here’s a close up on the detail of the frame.

The large and medium sized albums looks exactly the same almost.

This is the small album. The pictures doesn’t have any design on them which I liked.

Here’s a close up on the cover from the medium and large album.

This was one of the hardest page for the designer to come up with a layout because of the red part in the centre. Thanks to Vivian and Sandy’s suggestions we were able to achieve this nice and simple layout.

A close up on the design elements used through the album. We chose to stick with flower motifs to match with the cover’s design.
Al and I wanted our albums to be very simple and focus on the photos themselves. Working with Vivian and Sandy were very fun and enjoyable as they were quick to catch on what we had wanted. They were also very patient with us as a couple of the pages took 4-5 revisions before we were satisfy with the design. Both Al and I are very happy with the albums. I hope you’ve enjoyed looking at them as much as I do!
Ok, back to the beginning. As I mentioned there were some changes we’ve made in the past few months. Due to various reasons, we have decided to postpone our wedding to a later date as we both feel that it is the right thing to do at this time. It was a very difficult decision and there are challenges waiting for us ahead but I’m sure together we’d be able to overcome them.
Since postponing the wedding means I’d have more time to do research and I’ll also be helping/attending others wedding, I’m going to keep this blog running to share my findings about wedding planning. Oh and this just crossed my mind as I’m writing, since the wedding is pushed back, maybe I can fundraise enough money to rent a vintage car for parts of the day. I’ve always wanted to sit in one and I think it’d be so classy to have it on the wedding day.

Hey Xiaobee,
I believe we had 22 – 24 photos (I can’t quite remember now). We had such a hard time picking photos. I’m sure it was the same for you. I wish it weren’t so expensive to buy additional ones because there were so many that looked so nice and I would love to share them with family and friends.
A few weeks ago I was able to see my friend’s book which he made with Blurb. I was very impressed with their premium paper and cover. I think I’ll give them a try next time. Do you have any photos of the book you made with Shutterfly? I would love to see how it looks like.
Hi Jan,
Your photos are gorgeous. I really like the red one.
I am thinking about having my pre-wedding at HNWedding too and then I found your blog! Do they have good customer service? Which package did you choose? It is so hard to choose the package because I want the best, but not necessary able to afford it. How much is it to buy additional photo?
Thanks Jan.
Mel
Hi Mel,
Sorry for the late reply. Life had been eating up by work.
I really enjoyed working with HN Wedding in the photo shoot and album creation. I find their staff really friendly and knowledgeable in their field from makeup to styling. They had given me some great advice and tips.
I’m not quite sure about the cost for additional photos. I should look into it myself as there is a few that I’d like to keep which isn’t in my album.
Hi Jan:
Thanks for your Blog. It really helps me a lot. Before I was thinking to go Taiwan to take photo. After I found your Blog and hear a lot of comments. I decided to stay in vancouver to do my pre-wedding photo. I thinking that i can save the airfare to get better photo and dress and more. I have a lot friend go to Taiwan to take photo, but after when they back to here, They still need to pay extra to buy or rent the dress. Actually they spend even more money by the end.
Finally I choose HN wedding to do my pre-wedding photos. before I was little bit worry, because I hear some bad comments about HN wedding, I also went to Charlie Studio but the photo style is too old, they told me that they have two photographers I can choose and that’s good. I went to Bello & Lisange, m…… I also went to Lovely, but they use free-lens (photographer Ken). I like Ken’s photo. but Lovely’s dress style is so old and no western feeling and less choices. If I choose Lovely’s why I just go for Ken by myself (he works at YaoHan Center 2F) it’s even cheaper than i go with Lovely studio.
So after I go for H.N wedding they did the good job for my photo and make up, I love it. And I feel they provided a really good service, too. Thanks to A-Tine & Vivian. because they were very patient to help me (even I’m a little picky with my dress specially
)
But I still need to thanks you Jan, because your Blog. I save a lot of time and Finally I did save money with what i expect and want.

Hi Jan:
I like the album…thanks for taking some pictures! How many actual photos did you incorporate?
I got my inkubook back in January. It was alright…I was disappointed that the full bleed pages didn’t turn out as I expected. Anyway, I’ll write more about that soon in my blog.
