A New Date Is Decided!
For those that have been following this blog, you’d know that Al and I have postponed our wedding. In a way it was good as my dad had a really bad accident a month before the supposed wedding date.
Anyways, we’ve finally decided on a new date! It’s June 18, 2011! I’m so excited to get back into the wedding planning mode. There are a few changes right off the bat. First we’ve switched our restaurant. Instead of having it at the Victoria Chinese Restaurant in downtown, we’ll be having it at Fortune House Restaurant in Metrotown, Burnaby. The location is more central and there are tons of parking available. I’ll post more details later when we finalize the banquet contract. Another change which is not a surprise is our guest list. It’ve grown and looks a bit different than a year ago.
Al and I will be going back to Hong Kong in April. Originally we don’t plan on getting our wedding stuff there (we actually didn’t play to go back before the wedding). However, I thought since I’m heading back I might as well do some research on the wedding items there. If you have anything you’d like to find out from HK, I’d be glad to help you look it up if I have the time.
Lastly, I saw this cute 8-bit video game invitation a few days ago. Since I’m a gamer myself I thought this is such a unique and cute way of sending an invitation. Read about it here.

Thanks for visiting again! Fortune House have been around for as long as I remember. The Chinese name is 福聯海鮮酒家.
Yes we’re still planning on having the ceremony at Minoru. But the little chapel can only hold about 100-110 (can’t remember the exact number right now) so we’ll probably need to reserve spots for the ceremony as well so that we won’t have guests standing outside.
Congratulations on your new date! I’m not sure if I have been to Fortune House…has it been there for quite a number of years? What’s it called in chinese?
